Medical training requires education and hands-on training in dealing with patients and their families. Dr. Michael Everest was pivotal in creating Residents Medical Group, a medical residency consultancy group.

Dr. Michael Everest, Founder and chairman of Residents Medical Group, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in graduate medical education.

Dr. Everest has provided excellent service as the founder of The Everest Foundation, a nonprofit organization based in Los Angeles that provides research and training opportunities to medical students in need. The Foundation cites research that maintains that less than 30% of medical school graduates actually receive relevant research experience during their postgraduate studies, and to alleviate this discrepancy, the organization aligns these students with top medical centers and teaching hospitals throughout the country. In addition, the Foundation supports various wellness initiatives for residents suffering from burnout, addiction, and mental health challenges.

Working with his board chair, his wife Agata Everest, Dr. Everest intends to leverage the Everest Foundation to initiate additional residency programs at community-based hospitals to further the careers of new doctors and at the same time augment healthcare in underserved areas. To that end, Dr. Everest also serves as board chair and chief academic officer of the Residents Medical Group, the designated sister organization of The Everest Foundation.

Dr. Everest attributes his success to his care, compassion, and empathy for others. In the immediate future, he intends to continue his efforts with the Everest Foundation and the Residents Medical Group to help build more residency programs at community-based hospitals.

Dr. Michael Everest’s achievement is due to his dedication and hard work. He dedicated himself to his community and formed the Residents Medical Group, which supports hospitals. He then carried on his father's wish by continuing the fantastic work he had started by donating funding to medical institutions. 

Dr. Michael Everest values education in the lives of all people. Many of his peers had to cut their dreams short due to a lack of cash.

Following his father's death, with the support of his wife Agata Everest, Dr. Michael Everest established this foundation to carry on the good job he had begun. His father was committed to enabling young aspiring medical students by providing scholarships and grants to universities to fund their research and projects. 

This is the outstanding job that Dr. Michael Everest and his wife Agata Everest have continued to undertake in their community; they have been able to reach out to additional institutions locally and even globally. His main goal is to contribute to the global development of medical institutions to empower more young people who choose to pursue a medical degree. 

Prior to his present positions, Dr. Everest notably served as a consultant for physician shortages in Sussex, Kent, and Pembury Hospitals. He was also active as a systems improvement team at the David Bruce Military Hospital in Malta. To prepare for his career, Dr. Everest obtained an undergraduate degree before transferring to Liberty University, from which he earned both a Master of Science and Doctor of Philosophy.

Dr. Michael Everest is a prominent member of the American Medical Association and the International Students Initiative. He notably accrued an Honorary Medical Degree from Dow Medical College. Dr. Everest was also presented with a Most Supportive Business Award in 2021.

About The Everest Foundation

The Dr. Edwin Everest Foundation was created and founded by his son, Dr. Michael Everest after the passing of Dr. Edwin A.D. Everest in 2008 (1948-2008). Today, in part by his wife, Mrs. Bimla Everest, alongside his daughter-in- law, Mrs. Agata Everest, and his three grandchildren the foundation has evolved into The Everest Family Foundation and the next generation carry the yoke of his passion and vision.

The Everest Foundation also invokes an Advisory Board, consisting of some of the most prestigious leaders in academia, medicine, and business. The Everest Foundation was conceptualized to preserve the legacy of its namesake and his unwavering dedication to his family. The late Dr. Everest was a prolific doctor and educator. He taught both students and leaders of graduate medical education the need for innovation and forward thinking. He was gifted in predicting trends and finding solutions to the looming threats of the “residency bottleneck” and physician shortages that are now part of the landscape affecting America.

These disparities have now encompassed medical school graduates and medical residency and fellowship training, and are part of the reality of rural and vulnerable populations in the U.S.

In his later years, he made it his goal to dedicate his life helping around the parameters of the individual student and graduate medical education departments, optimization of teaching hospitals, and assisting vulnerable population demographics. After the passing of the family patriarch in 2008, the foundation formalized his desires and aspirations in its mission statement. The foundation is specifically interested in focusing in IDDM and Cardiac research as an adage to his posthumous legacy. The Everest Foundation was founded to display the light of his energy in the form of focusing on the needy.
