Mission Statement

Metropolitan Asian Family Services has been serving the Chicagoland community for over 30 years and its Mission Statement is to provide comprehensive & integrated Social Services to the Immigrant population of India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, the Middle East & European countries. These services include but are not limited to educate, counsel, assist & empower individuals & families to become productive members in their new home.

Metropolitan Asian Family Services has been a beacon of hope to immigrant populations in the United States. Our services reach over 10,000 individuals and family members each year. Through programs like Public Benefits, Low Income Home Energy Assistance, Adult English Literacy, Affordable Care Assistance, Senior Counseling, Immigration and Citizenship Assistance, Translation and Interpretation, Computer Literacy and Transportation we touch the lives of Illinois’ most in need immigrant communities.

Services we provide to Seniors:

Home Care: A Care Plan Just for You - Customized and unique to your needs, we provide a Caregiver that shares your language and cultural background whenever possible. With over 2936 highly trained staff we can find the one that will become like family to you. Our caregivers assist with chores around the house including cooking, shopping, personal grooming, and transportation to medical appointments, when necessary.

What Our Caregiver do for you: Personal Care, Grooming & Dressing, Housekeeping & Laundry, Shopping, Escort To Appointments.

Our Adult Day Care Program: Our adult day care centers provide a venue for the elderly to get involved in structured and fun-filled activities. We provide breakfast, hot lunch and snacks to our participants. On-site medical monitoring is available by trained nurses. Yoga & fitness sessions, health education and seminars, recreational activities and round trip transportation services from their home to the centers by our experienced drivers are also available free of charge for those who qualify.

Immigration Open Houses – Marketing and Outreach: MAFS open houses on Immigration and Public Benefits are going strong throughout the summer. We are available from 10 am-4 pm at the following locations:

Carol Steam – 2nd & 4th Wednesdays

Naperville – 2nd & 4th Fridays

Niles   – 1st, 2nd, 5th Wednesdays

Chicago Devon – 3rd & 4th Wednesdays

Schaumburg Patel Bros Location – 1st, 3rd, and 5th Fridays
